German Aircraft designer Felix W. A. Knoll, formerly employed by Heinkel Aircraft, was vice president/chief engineer
of the Knoll Aircraft Corporation, which manufactured the model KN-1 in late 1928.
Located in Wichita Kansas, first at 471 W.First St, Knoll built the large factory building at Webb Road and Kellogg. T.M. "Tommy" Thomas,
director; George Bruce, seceratary; Harold Zipp
, engineer. Before going out of business in late 1929 due to the Stock Market crash and embezzlement of the company treasury, 2 other models, the KN-2 and KN-3 were built by Knoll Aircraft. Under development in the design stage at the time of bankruptcy were the KN-4, KN-5 sport Bi-Plane, KN-6 single engine amphibian and The KN-22 multi-engine seaplane.
